My goals for December + new writing challenge?

November has come and gone and almost took my dreams with it.

My major goal for last year was to participate in and win #NaNoWriMo2019 which I shared on my Instagram. But, I failed.

I got through the first six days and after that, it was like my mind just closed that chapter. I didn’t even know when November ended.

I only got around 10k words in which is quite pathetic but actually.

Now we’re in December and it’s another time to set goals, but not for the new year.

I realise that when the year starts to end, I start pushing goals to the next year for New Year Resolutions but I’m not doing that this year.

For the first time in a long time, I have December goals. And here they are:

  1. Get up to 30,000 words with my novel WIP
  2. To blog everyday of this month. This is to try to improve my consistency and writing skills. Honestly, with the way my writing has been going, I can’t even call myself a writer out loud.
  3. Show up no matter what. I have a really bad habit of hiding away when things get to tough or uncomfortable for me.

And that’s it. 3 simple goals for this festive month. Easy right? Right?

What are your goals for this month? Or are you pushing them to the next year?

Yo, I’m Dee.

I’m obsessed with helping young people be creative, do creative stuff, and put that creative stuff online. I write about my journey to finding creative freedom, and everything I’ve learnt about being & promoting yourself in the digital space.
